I often look in the IMBA member portal to see what else is offered and noticed BikeInsure. I kept that in mind because my Transition Sentinel was insured by Markel last year for almost $700. When the policy expired, I signed up for BikeInsure.‍

Aside from BikeInsure being IMBA's official bike insurance & a lot less expensive, BikeInsure's theft policy language is much better than Markel's. Markel bike insurance's locked-to-immovable object requirement led to a friend's theft claim being denied for securing their bike to a car bike rack. That is ok with BikeInsure, so I signed up. It was easy. Now I have better bike insurance with BikeInsure.

I had an unfortunate accident during a group bike ride. As a result of the collision, my bike's fork, wheel, and rotor were damaged, and my pride was hurt.
