Ozark Trail Ridge

As a cyclist on a budget, I am training for a bike-packing excursion that spans a gnarly 2800 miles from Banff, Canada to Antelope Wells, New Mexico (also known as the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route or Tour Divide).

So, I went to my local Walmart and purchased an Ozark Trail Ridge mountain bike that cost about $400. Besides the bike, I invested about $1,200 in all the bike-packing equipment, so I wanted to make sure I had insurance to keep it all safe.

I looked all around for bike insurance and chose BikeInsure when I saw it on the trusted IMBA member portal.

I signed up with BikeInsure because they cover both my bike and all the attached equipment. If it's stolen, all my gear is covered, and if I ever crash and damage my bike during my southbound excursion, I can stop at any Walmart, get a bike replacement, swap all my backpacking gear, and ride on!
