BikeInsure Claim won't impact State Farm Policy

I recently discovered the existence of bike insurance while reading the USA Cycling newsletter.‍

The newsletter discussed BikeInsure, the official bike insurance of USA Cycling.

Despite having homeowners insurance with State Farm, I found it impressive that BikeInsure would not impact our State Farm policy in case of a bike claim.

Signing up was incredibly easy, almost suspiciously, but I trusted the legitimacy of the process due to its association with USAC. After registering our bikes, we received a call from BikeInsure. Therefore, we paid out-of-pocket to replace my wife's bicycle and decided to get a separate bike insurance policy for my Specialized and her Trek.

‍Our lesson learned was our homeowner's insurance policy could not cover our bikes, and that realization cost us a lot of money. We confidently chose BikeInsure because it is the only bicycle insurance company endorsed by USA Cycling.
