How much bike insurance coverage do I need?

Select an Amount of Insurance equal to the replacement-cost value of both the bicycle or e-bike and all covered accessories listed on the Declarations page.

BikeInsure coverage limits are available up to $50,000 per bicycle or e-bike.

Replacement-cost value means the cost to repair or replace the insured bicycle or e-bike with equipment of substantially similar kind and quality, without deduction for depreciation, which may be based on a newer model.

BikeInsure covers pedal-powered cycles, including bicycles, e-bikes, trikes, tandems, and para-adaptive cycles.

BikeInsure covers the enrolled bike's make, model, and year as described by the manufacturer, along with non-stock accessories and upgraded components shown on the Declarations page. A common mistake is insuring only the bike frame and forgetting to include the value of upgraded components and accessories.

Covered accessories generally include items attached to the bicycle, such as bags, bottle cages, lights, bike computers, action cameras, mounted pumps, radar devices, upgraded wheels, pedals, saddles, groupsets, and power meters — and a listed helmet is also covered.

Items not attached to the bicycle — including clothing, shoes, glasses, phones, earbuds, and other personal items — are not covered.
