How do I buy BikeInsure bike insurance online?
Buying BikeInsure coverage online takes only a few minutes and provides immediate protection once enrollment and payment are completed.
Step 1 — Enter bike information
Provide details about your bicycle or e-bike, including make, model, year, accessories, and Amount of Insurance (bike price + listed accessories).
Step 2 — Choose your coverage type
Select coverage based on how the cycle is used:
Bike Ride Insure (Casual) — everyday riding, commuting, fitness, training, and mass-participation charity rides that do not require a racing license. Coverage applies to individual and group rides, on-road or off-road, within the United States and Canada.
Bike Race Insure (Competitive) — applies when the insured cycle is used in at least one competition annually, such as triathlons, gran fondos, gravel events, criterium races, or any cycling event requiring a racing license. Includes all Casual riding usage and features worldwide coverage when riding, racing, or traveling internationally.
Electric Bike Insure (E-Bike) — electric bicycles meeting Class 1–3 specifications (up to 750 watts and 28 mph pedal assist). Valid for casual, commuter, fitness, training, and mass-participation rides that do not require a racing license within the United States and Canada.
Step 3 — Select your coverage amount
Choose an Amount of Insurance up to $50,000 per bicycle or e-bike item.
Step 4 — Checkout securely
Enter payment information to activate the one-year policy with automatic monthly installments.
During checkout, you electronically sign and certify your application information and agree to the policy terms, completing enrollment.
You do not need to upload photos or receipts when enrolling. However, keeping photos of your bicycle and invoices for your equipment is recommended for your personal records in the event of a future claim.
